Getting people on board

Once a Group or Organisers page is all sorted, you’ll be ready to post your first event or group activity. All events and activities appear in the What’s on list, and groups can be found in the Join a Group list. By having an event listed, more people are likely to attend and/or follow you.

Promote, Promote, Promote

Once an event is posted, use the activity page ‘Invite’ and ‘Share’ tools to spread the word.

People that show interest in an event can elect to follow you, when they do, they automatic receive invitations to upcoming events. Members and others can also share event details with their friends and others.

Social media is an important tool when it comes to advertising, ideally you should engage with potential attendees before, during and after the event!


There will always be a lot of last minute details to be tied up before any event.

When things change, you’ll be able to edit the activity form or post updates. Members that are registered their interest on the activity page will be notified, which is a useful detail given how even the best-laid plans often go awry.
